![]() “Garbage day is my favorite day” t-shirt. Its interactive plus cute- a win win if you aren’t into plastic toys. Wood recycle truck. Sometimes I’m a mom who loves wood toys because they just look so much prettier. Miraculously they work with his big recycle can (#1)! Since Don has so many garbage trucks, it is fun for him to have a few more cans. If you have to wear pajamas, might as well have some with your favorite vehicle on them! FOURīruder cans and dumpster This was a gift from my sister to Don. Garbage Truck pajamas I think the stripes are adorable and the simple garbage truck is cute. If your little one loves coloring and garbage trucks, this gift is for you! It’d be great to include with crayons and then do coloring together. I wish it wasn’t so huge, but it is his favorite! The doors open, the horn honks, the lights work- it is very interactive and I 100% recommend it. It comes with two cans that attach to the back and can be dumped. This was my son’s big present this year and he loves it. They are his favorite so I ran with it! First up, here’s a gift guide of items I think any garbage truck loving kid would be super excited to get: garbage truck gift guide He adores garbage trucks and probably owns 5-7 different sized ones. To celebrate his birthday this year, I decided to throw him a garbage truck birthday. Sometimes I forget that he’ll actually grow up and I’m sure trying to cherish all of the time we get to play together. One one hand, time flies- wasn’t he just born?! On the other, every day feels similar and that he’ll always be home with me- playing at the park, racing cars, and being my little buddy. Linking everything I can below if you want to recreate some trash truck and rainbow magic for your littles ones birthday.Somehow my little guy is now three! Time is so bittersweet as a mom. Basically Otis had a blast (after first having a melt down when everyone went inside his bouncy house!! TODDLER FEELINGS!) and I am so glad we got to celebrate with some of his friends before our move. They kindly send along the bags with a few goodies inside. For entertrainment, I set up our bouncy house and it was a big hit! Another special treat for all the kids was gift bags provided by Waste Management to each of Otis’ buddies that came to the party. So I put two together and put a linen + natural fibered runners down the middle to pull it together. My friend had some pallets and I knew they would make the perfect kids tables. We ordered pizza which is always a hit with everyone. I set up grab bag snacks: chips, goldfish, and veggie sticks for the kids along with some juice boxes and adult beverages. I also ordered some cupcakes so we could save the cake for our family birthday singing for him at night and cupcakes are just easier than chopping and handing out cake. The cake was another easy project that I outsourced to my local supermarket! I bought a small trash truck toy on amazon and brought it to the grocery store bakery and showed them an inspirational picture of the truck dumping sprinkles onto the cake. This saved me alot of time but still gave the party a really fun DIY element. I sent these files to a local printer to have them print and make the sign and garland. They sold a template for a cut out photobooth sign so I bought that and the artwork to create garland to hang up. ![]() Otis LOVES that show and kept calling it, “Funny Trash Truck.” So I asked him if he wanted Funny Trash Truck to come to his birthday and of course he said yes. I actually found a shop on Etsy that sold Trash Truck show artwork. If you don’t have a balloon pump, and are planning to make a balloon arch, stop what you are doing and BUY THIS NOW. You know I love a balloon arch and Blake is Dad of the year and created them all for me. They had alot of primary rainbow paper goods and some killer rainbow balloon arches so I started there. MeriMeri always has great party goods and mix and match well together. So instead of take on all the DIY I outsourced. I didn’t have much time on my hands with a newborn this year so I knew no matter what we planned it needed to be simple to execute. It was easy to combine 2 of Otis’ favorite things: Trash Trucks and Rainbows. ![]() Nothing wrong in spoiling our little ones. Of course Blake said, “DONT GO OVERBOARD” but you know… I always get a little carried away. We had a small get together with some of Otis’ good friends outside in our backyard. I blame the cross country move madness!!! This party was our last hurrah before we moved out of the house! So wild.
